Al was a 26 year veteran Detective Sgt. with the Michigan State Police before serving 9 years as a Senior Special Agent with the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Al’s experience includes complex multifaceted investigations. Al has received decorations for his investigative skills and has received accreditation as a Certified Cyber Investigations Expert,Certified Forensic High-Tech Investigator, Certified Cyber Threat Investigator and Social Media Investigator. Al is currently a member of NALI, MCPI, OASIS, NALS, NAPD, MDTC, IASIU, MAVTI, MAPC and NSPII. Al is a U.S. Army Veteran.
Bruce McDonald – Professional Investigator
Bruce was a 26 year Detective Sgt. with the Detroit Police Department and served as a special investigator with the Auto Club of Michigan. Bruce has been identified as an expert witness in the field of auto theft and salvage. Bruce is also a decorated professional.
Ed Vanderdonckt – Auto Post Re-Inspection Specialist
Ed Vanderdonckt has over 50 years of body shop repair experience. Ed was recognized as an expert witness in his field in circuit court. Ed’s knowledge of auto repair is extraordinary. Ed has taken part in numerous organized body shop fraud investigations.
Kevin O’Reilly – Professional Investigator-CIFI
Kevin was a 25 year veteran Detective Sgt. with the Dearborn Police Department and a 10 year veteran of the Liberty Mutual Special Investigative Unit before joining Providence-SIS. Kevin was a co-founder of Michigan Association of Vehicle Theft Investigators (MAVTI) and currently serves on their board of directors. Kevin also possesses CIFI distinction.
Brent Hafner – Professional Investigator
Brent Hafner is our youngest investigator with 10 years’ experience. Brent joined Providence after departing Liberty Mutual Insurance Special Investigative Unit. Brent is a MECP certified Master Installer. Brent has worked auto theft and arson investigations throughout the Midwest.
Steve Boteler – Professional Investigator
Steve Boteler joined Providence-Specialized Investigative Solutions after 39 years of an impressive investigative career. 29 years as Detective Lt. with Flat Rock Police Department, 10 years with the Auto Club of Michigan Special Investigative Unit. Steve was a cause and origin specialist and a member of the Downriver Arson Task Force. Steve still serves as a member of MAPC and IASIU. Steve also is a U.S. Army Veteran.
Mike Larsen – Professional Investigator
Mike is a retired Michigan State Police Detective Lt. having served over 25 years. Mike served at various locations throughout the state. Mike’s most notable service included as a detective trooper with the cooperative drug team BAYANET as an undercover officer, detective sergeant with the state police diversion unit investigating doctors and pharmacies, and detective lieutenant of the state police Third District in Flint.
Monica Bradford – Professional Investigator firstname.lastname@example.org Monica Bradford served 25 years with the Michigan State Police Police retiring in 2012 as a Sergeant from the Traverse City Post. Monica worked several undercover operations in the Criminal Investigation Unit and was part of the Methcathinone Task Force out of Marquette, Michigan. Monica was a certified crime scene technician and worked closely with the State Police Crime Labs. Investigator Bradford has also worked in Lansing, Flint, Bad Axe and Bridgeport. Prior to joining the Michigan State Police Monica Bradford was Dental Hygienist in Flint, Michigan and possesses a vast medical knowledge. Monica will serve Providence- Specialized Investigative Solutions in the northern region of Michigan.
